At 315 g this is the heaviest of the three 97 Classic frames, and you feel that mass in every shot. Against a heavy ball it does not give way, letting you hit out and stay accurate. A 310 mm balance keeps the weight toward the handle, which keeps the swing manageable. All that mass pays off for experienced players whose technique is already settled.

The 97 sq in (626 cm²) head and a thin beam built with Braid 45 and Paradigm Bending work for control and feel. String Mapping tightens the string bed for more precise shots. The 16x19 pattern still leaves room for spin. If 315 g is too much, the 97L at 290 g and the 97UL at 270 g share the same head.
