Wilson Ultra 99 PRO V5

The 16x18 pattern is open, with fewer strings, and the ball takes spin readily from it. The 305 g frame is a middle weight, and the 325 mm balance moves a bit of mass toward the head. That adds punch on volleys and smashes.

SI3D layup helps the frame pocket the ball deeper and add spin. Grooves inside the frame let the strings absorb shock better and return energy to the ball. The construction flexes slightly more than its predecessor. The 99 sq in head keeps control from the baseline and at the net alike. It is built for players from intermediate to experienced level with a settled stroke.
