An 18x16 pattern is rare: with only sixteen cross strings the mains move more freely, and the ball leaves the racket with heavy topspin. The Blade 98S is for an adult player who builds points on spin, angles and a high bounce.
The V9 added StableFeel, which stiffens the frame in critical zones and reduces twisting for a more precise shot. FortyFive, with graphite fibres laid at 45 degrees, and Direct Connect, where the butt cap is fixed rigidly to the handle, work for stability and feel. At 98 sq in and 295 g, the frame wants accurate contact. Clip & Go is there for the stringer: bumper and grommets swap quickly.
